Animals of Eden Valley: Why Did God Make Me?

I really appreciate the ‘Animals of Eden Valley’ books, as it’s hugely important for our kids to grow up knowing they can ask questions about their faith, the Bible, God – anything!

‘Why Did God Make Me?’ centres around a football game, and a main character – Paul – who thinks he’s no good at football, and starts to question why he’s here at all. But a visit from ‘Ru’ (the Holy Spirit) – who turns up in every book in this series – helps Paul to see that God loves him and has a plan for him, and that we all have unique gifts and talents to bring to the world. He returns to the football game and is able to see much more clearly the role each character is playing to contribute to a successful game.

Answering a fairly abstract question with such a literal, relatable event like a football match is a total win, and I’d highly recommend ‘Why Did God Make Me?’ for 4-8s.
