What Mums Want (and Dads Need to Know)
The title of this book didn't particularly endear me to it; however, the content was fascinating, and the research compelling.
The findings of ‘What Mums Want’ suggest that mums are the lynchpin of happy marriage and family life. Although conclusions are at times jumped to rather prematurely, ‘What Mums Want’ offers huge doses of encouragement, practical help and motivation to work at our marriages (particularly after kids come along).
Did you know, for example, that a large proportion of married people reporting to be ‘unhappily married’ are then ‘happy’ or ‘very happy’ a few years later? Or that staying together ‘for the sake of the children’ is a bit of a misnomer?
