My 11-year-old son said, "This book, about children living in rural Rwanda, was an exceptional sequel to 'I Want to Be an Airline Pilot' and 'Living in Hope'.
Although ‘Under The Tamarind Tree’ did not include as many adventures as the first two books, there were more new characters and more great surprises.
I did really enjoy ‘Under The Tamarind Tree’ because it had loads of adventure and even a bit of comedy which are my favourite genres. My favourite part of this book was when the town council announced that there was going to be an airport and hospital put in.
I think anyone who is under the age of twelve and loves some adventure will enjoy this intriguing book.”
