I make no apologies for the fact that Liz Carter is one of my writing-buddies - this book is phenomenal and I was honoured to endorse it!
Written largely in lockdown, where Liz was shielding due to a chronic lung condition, ‘Treasure in Dark Places’ is a book of poems and short stories of hope through dark times.
‘Treasure in Dark Places’ would be especially good for someone who has experienced hard times, or for a church leader who would find much material for services in Liz’s words (the book is organised into the liturgical year, for ease). I loved her vivid re-imaginings of well-know Bible stories.
