I'm a big fan of the 'Tales that Tell the Truth' series, and this account of Paul and Silas' imprisonment is one of my favourites!
It’s written by master storyteller Bob Hartman. We loved the interactive style – Bob tells the story of Paul and Silas in prison with the use of onomatopoeic words which encourage adults and children to make the relevant sounds throughout. Gorgeous illustrations as usual, from Catalina Echeverri. ‘The Prisoners, the Earthquake and the Midnight Song’ is brilliant for 4s-7s.
