The Most Special Christmas Night

Let’s get the ‘so-so’ out of the way first. The illustrations are simple and look like they’ve been created digitally. The words apparently rhyme, but it took me half the book to realise it because they don’t scan.

However – ‘The Most Special Christmas Night’ is a very faithful biblical account of the nativity story, and there is all sorts of interesting contextual detail on each page. Children will discover, for example, how long it takes to walk from Nazareth to Bethlehem, what an angel is and does, and some of the important prophecies which told of Jesus’ birth.

For a child who loves fact books, or is always asking ‘why…’, this is an excellent gift for an Advent basket or stocking!
