The King's Garden
I actually can’t get over the illustrations – they’re stunning! There is so much detail and so many things to look at.
But the literary descriptions of life in the perfect garden are thoroughly engaging too, drawing you in to a picture-perfect world. ‘The King’s Garden’ is an allegory for creation, the fall, and Jesus’ incredible sacrifice which enabled us to return to our Father God. It tells the story of a King who created a beautiful garden for his two children, and what happened when they pushed the boundaries one day and found themselves in danger.
Whilst ‘The King’s Garden’ is a picture book, it’s definitely one that older kids will enjoy too – my 9 year olds were engrossed. It’s not cheap, but as it’s beautifully produced in hardback with such beautiful illustrations, it’s worth every penny as a gift book that your family will look at time and time again.
