The Christmas Story Brick by Brick
‘The Christmas Story Brick by Brick’ is written in well-scanned rhyme (win!), and I love how it sets the context for Jesus’ birth by starting off talking about how God had promised his people a king.
Later on, ‘The Christmas Story Brick by Brick’ alludes to what Jesus would do – although it mentions that he died without further context, which might frighten or upset a child who didn’t know the Easter story.
The models on each page are great, and there are some truly great lines in ‘The Christmas Story Brick by Brick’, my favourite being: “But Jesus was humble enough to live here/He shared in our suffering and took up our tears”. Plus, at the back, there’s a QR code which leads to instructions on building your own Lego nativity. A fabulous, great-value Christmas story book.
