The Bride

I loved ‘The Bride’ from start to finish. Efa is in love with Philip – but instead is forced to marry a widowed man, old enough to be her father, for political and financial benefit between the families.

Efa finds herself expected to parent his children – not much younger than her – but also finds herself pleasantly surprised by the love and welcome she receives in her new home from the people who work there. She starts to find out about the faith some of them have, and discovers a God who loves her and gives her value, even within her loveless marriage.

There are twists and turns galore in this beautiful historical novel, so I won’t spoil it for you here. Just grab a copy and read it for yourself!
