The Birth of Jesus

(NB ‘The Birth of Jesus’ is also available as a rag book if you prefer – just check whether the version you’re buying says ‘Crinkles’ or ‘Bubbles’ at the top of the front cover.) Fully waterproof, with tactile squishy pages, it features three brightly-coloured pages featuring Jesus’ birth, the visit of the shepherds, and the visit of the wise men.

There are quite a few words on each page, and for a child with a long attention span this would be a helpful way of telling the story. But for most young children, the pictures will act as prompts for grown-ups to share the story in their own words.
