The Angel Orphan
By Leah Boden
A charming story about the life of teacher and educator Charlotte Mason.
Leah Boden brings Charlotte Mason to life, tracing her childhood and her path to becoming an influential and beloved educational pioneer. Charlotte’s teaching journey is inspirational, she perseveres through many hardships (including the death of her mother and father), spurred by her educational philosophy and her love for children. Her deep faith, love of nature and books shine through. There are some beautiful pencil illustrations throughout which really enhance the story.
I would recommend “The Angel Orphan” for older children (particularly those who aspire to teach), or as a family read aloud.
