Survival Tips for Mums

Elizabeth El Mostain has SIX young children, and bags of good advice for embarking on parenthood. The first section covers mental, physical, spiritual and social health, while the second section is an A-Z of everything from nappy rash to online shopping to church to tantrums.

Any book which packs in so many tips is likely to have areas of contention. I didn’t agree with everything the author wrote, and neither will you. In particular, I felt that the author’s views on sex could be interpreted in quite a damaging way if you were in an abusive or controlling relationship. But this section was just 2-3 pages, and – for me – didn’t ruin the whole book.
