See! Let's Be Me!

The follow up to Gemma’s previous book 'See! Let’s Be A Good Friend', this book continues to follow a family in everyday situations from the children’s point of view.

Each story retells a New Testament story in a modern, accessible way. It focuses on emotions in the various stories. Children can identify with the feelings and situations in ‘See! Let’s Be Me!’. I am planning to keep this book handy to share with my children in relevant ways; for example, reading the ‘Feeling Cross’ story together after an angry outburst. At the back of the book the Bible stories which have been retold are included so they can be looked up too.

My boys enjoyed ‘See! Let’s Be Me!’. My four year old asked me to read it again and again. The illustration is ethnically and culturally diverse. It is very contemporary and looks true to life today. Definitely a book I’d recommend.
