Jo Saxton is a Brit now living/working in the States as a church consultant and leadership coach.
As such, she has a large following and some fairly heftily-priced online mentoring and courses. But lest you think ‘Ready to Rise’ is a frothy ‘self-help’ book, her wise Biblical insights, research and pertinent questioning into what stops women (and other minorities) from stepping into their calling makes this an incredibly helpful handbook for all of us. She talks about race and gender as being particular obstacles, but refuses to make excuses. Her warm, humorous style is easy to follow (and her chapter on Deborah is STUNNING!).
