Raising Gen Alpha

Gen Alpha are those born between 2010 and 2024. My 11 year old daughter is part of this generation, which added another layer of urgency to my reading.

Dave Boden dives deep into the everyday experiences of Gen Alpha; their emotional life, social life, relational life and spiritual life. My own assumptions were challenged, and by the end of the book I felt admiration, compassion and excitement for Gen Alpha. I could clearly see how God is moving powerfully among them in spite of (or even because of) the society they are growing up in.

Each chapter ends by showing how Jesus is the answer for the many issues they face, practical advice for parents and carers, and questions to facilitate deeper connections.

‘Raising Gen Alpha’ is not an easy read, but a necessary one. I would go so far as to say it is essential reading for everyone who knows, works alongside or has a child/teenager in their life.
