Queen Esther Nation Saver and Other Bible Tales

‘Queen Esther Nation Saver’ is a superb resource – for girls AND boys – a book of short stories from the Bible, each one featuring an ‘adventuring girl’.

I read ‘Queen Esther Nation Saver’ with my daughter when she was 10, and we both really appreciated author Amy Scott Robinson’s imagining around the Bible stories in question. The story of Miriam, for example, was familiar to my daughter, but Amy’s clever storytelling technique put it in a whole new light for us both, helping us to notice things we’d never seen before.

Other stories are less familiar, but Amy gives a name to characters who are unnamed in the Bible, and gives them a voice too, imagining the context vividly for us readers. ‘Queen Esther Nation Saver’ is absolutely brilliant.
