Jesus Moments: Ruth

By Alison Mitchell

This book tells the story of Ruth and is part of a series that invites you to notice how different parts of the Old Testament point to Jesus by spotting 'Jesus moments'.

I love this idea and the kids had fun spotting the oil lamps (the picture clues that this is a Jesus moment) and working out how that part of the story points to Jesus.

‘Jesus Moments: Ruth’ is a lovely book for approximately 4-8 year olds (although my nearly 10 year old enjoyed it as well) and I think works best for kids who know the story of Ruth already. I love that this series is encouraging our kids to see how the whole Bible points to Jesus – a great skill to have as they grow up to read the Bible for themselves. The pictures are beautiful too!
