Jack and the Ultimate Dare
By Anita French
'Jack and the Ultimate Dare' is a modern version of the parable, 'The Good Samaritan'.
Aimed at 8-11s, it’s a great way of helping children to understand the undeserved grace and mercy that the injured man in the parable received – and, likewise, that we all receive from God, through Jesus.
‘Jack and the Ultimate Dare’ would work brilliantly in the classroom or in KS2 assemblies. Although the dialogue occasionally feels a little unnatural, the story kept me and the twins (at age 7) gripped right up till the end! An exciting narrative with an important message.
