It's Good to Be a Girl

We have found this - and it's brother 'It's Good to be a Boy' to be very helpful and engaging topical books.

‘It’s Good to Be a Girl’ has a particular emphasis on featuring a variety of biblical girls, covering a range of hobbies, talents and skills and ethnicities – greatly appreciated.

Both this and ‘It’s Good to Be a Boy’ are books that we have already turned to a number of times, and we believe that we will continue to do so, as we seek to centre our children on the truths that they hold. Both use a loose Bible timeline method, as well as focusing in on key examples to back up its ‘return to rhymes’ that is used throughout the books.

There is a particular focus on ‘twirling’, which may not be as engaging for some as it was for our dance/gymnastics focused daughter – but this shouldn’t take away from the impressive attempt to speak into the topic of gender for a young age.
