How to Pray: A Guide for Young Explorers

Having enjoyed Pete Greig's teaching on prayer (and Gemma Hunt's presenting of Swashbuckle), I can't quite put into words how excited I was when I heard this book was going to be released.

When it arrived, it didn’t disappoint! Aimed at 8-11s, I actually ended up reading it my twin boys when they were still 7, and they lapped it up. ‘How to Pray’ also feels entirely suitable to use up to early teens.

Using the P.R.A.Y. acronym (Pause Rejoice Ask Yes) found in the adult ‘How to Pray’ book (and associated Prayer Course), this book is helpfully structured in bite-size chunks featuring Pete’s teaching, Gemma’s experience, inspirational stories, prayer quotes from kids and (one of my twin’s favourite) practical prayer activities.

‘How to Pray’ is a brilliant book to make prayer accessible, relevant and regular in our kids’ lives.
