Heroes of the Faith

Lots of familiar names are featured – William Wilberforce, CS Lewis and Fanny Crosby – as well as new heroes to discover. There are colour photos and illustrations throughout, and each person’s story is told engagingly by J.John. I particularly love the end of each story, where he shares a few insights into what resonates with him about that particular character, and what we can learn from them.

‘Heroes of the Faith’ isn’t a children’s book per se, but it’s engaging enough that older kids and teens will find themselves drawn in. We’ve read them as a family over Saturday breakfast, when we want to read something inspiring and spiritual, but don’t have the energy to attempt a bible devotional which works for all the different ages. ‘Heroes of the Faith’ is a perfect go-between!
