God's Big Promises: Advent Calendar and Family Devotions

Each day, ‘God’s Big Promises’ offers a brief, five minute Bible time. The booklet contains everything you need: prayers, readings and a devotional. For days when there are more complex words or concepts, simple definitions are included. The booklet is written in such a way that means you can simply open the book and read. You don’t need a copy of ‘God’s Big Promises Bible Storybook’, but if you do already have one, then there is a guide to how you can read the relevant story as you complete the Advent readings.

The devotional suggestions that it is suitable for children aged 3-7 and that seemed to certainly be true for my two boys (newly three and six-and-a-half). The devotional has engaging questions that children can related to and enjoy answering to bring the Christmas story to life, featuring the Christmas story all the way up to Simeon and Anna, plus the wise men along with questions like, ‘Where is Jesus?’ This devotional will enable your family to have special time together to focus on Jesus during the busy-ness of Advent. It builds up to the excitement of Christmas with a focus on what the season is really about.
