God's Bible Timeline

Actually, it’s better than that – it’s a book the whole family can enjoy (I’d say it’s best for 8+, but our 7yos are listening along with 12yo and 10yo). Also never mind the kids – I’M learning loads!

God’s Bible Timeline does what it says on the tin: gives you a timeline of what happened and when in the Old and New Testaments. It’s not a Bible storybook, but is the BEST accompaniment to your family Bible reading, with photos, maps and pictures to bring different time periods and Biblical events to life, and interesting one-page articles to help you understand the overarching narrative of the Bible. You get other historical events too, so that you can place Biblical happenings within the context of human history.

Be warned: it’s not an easy book to pick up: you’ll need to be determined if you want to introduce it to your kids. (I made a game out of the timelines, asking each child which came first out different events – they loved this and it got really competitive!) But once you find your way in, it’s a veritable treasure chest. Every Christian family needs this gorgeous hardback on their coffee table!
