God Cares When I am Strong: Friends in the Fire

This book is one of two 'early readers' in the awesome 'God Cares' book series; books which tell familiar Bible stories in a way which considers the emotions of each person in the story.

(Another ‘early reader’ in the series is ‘God Cares When I am Afraid‘, and more advanced books in the set include ‘God Cares When I Feel Down’ and ‘God Cares When I am Anxious’).

Aimed at 5s-8s, confident readers in this age group could start to read ‘God Cares When I am Strong’ for themselves, whilst emerging readers (like my 5-year-old twins) will love having it read aloud. ‘God Cares When I am Strong’ does include colour illustrations on every page (unlike the older two books in the series), so plenty to keep a young child’s attention.

Designed to build emotional resilience in children, ‘God Cares When I am Strong’ tells the Bible story of the fiery furnace, with a focus on how people were feeling throughout. It ends with a question which encourages a child to talk about their emotions too.
