God Bless All Of Me
Lara Oseghale, the author of this beautiful new board book for small children, has set up ‘Curious Berries' to produce good-quality, fun, faith-filled resources for children.
Her heart in particular has been to represent children who look like hers. Lara grew up in Nigeria, and is raising her beautiful boys in the UK. But I think even for those of us who are white, it is so hugely beneficial to be exposing ourselves and our children to diversity in the books we read together. So I love that Lara is doing what she is doing – and ‘God bless all of me’ is a truly beautiful gift for younger children.
‘God Bless All Of Me’ would particularly suit a child who is becoming aware of their body: each page features a different part of the body, and a blessing over what God has made it to do. This would be a lovely book to share with a young child around bathtime/bedtime.
