Faith in Mind
By Steve Tash
Here is a helpful book explaining the gospel to those who are unwell.
Steve Tash had his own mental health crisis around 40 years ago, and is now an ordained mental health chaplain, so knows first-hand what it’s like to suffer, as well as what it’s like to minister to those in need. The chapters are short – just 1 or 2 pages – with language which is simple but not condescending.
Scattered throughout the book are beautiful line drawings by Anna Tash – the author’s daughter (and my cover illustrator for Redeeming Advent!). The tone is incredibly warm and gentle, with a suggestion to simply look at the illustrations if reading is too much right now. ‘Faith in Mind’ comes highly recommended if you know someone who is interested in your faith, but struggling with mental illness.
