Deepen

The author, Andrea Gardiner, is a Christian GP, and ‘Deepen’ covers all sorts of topics from childhood memories to personality, friendships to self-care, puberty to relationships. The idea is that you pick a page, fill it in, then leave it somewhere for your daughter to find. She fills in a page, then returns it to you. It’s so easy to fit into busy family life, as you don’t have to find time when you’re both free – but it also opens up conversation more easily than face-to-face. Although aimed at teenagers, many of the activities are appropriate for tweens – my 9 year old daughter and I have been loving it!
