Deep Dive into the Old Testament

By Claire Sims

If you're looking for a brand new devotional for your 7-11s which doesn't feel ‘heavy’ or burdensome, yet truly gets them into God's word, this is it!

Claire is a mum of 5, and has been blogging for years. She really knows how to teach the bible to this age group and has years of experience doing so in her family and church.

Each of the 51 ‘expeditions’ follows a diving theme, with headings such as ‘mapping the environment’, ‘quick dive’ and ‘back to surface’. These helpfully navigate the reader through introductions/ice breakers, getting into the bible, then applying it to our lives. The whole thing is interactive, with questions, puzzles and activities galore. There are no huge chunks of text to wade through – everything is succinct and helpful.

Not only will children get a really good understanding of Genesis and Exodus through ‘Deep Dive into the Old Testament’, but they will build up a solid collection of bible-study skills that they can apply to any bible passage in the future.
