Deborah and Jael

I wrote ‘Deborah and Jael’ to fill a gap in the Christian market – when it was published in 2020, there were very few children’s books featuring Biblical women. And, as ‘Deborah and Jael’ was well-received, I went on to write more – thus the Mighty Girl Mighty God series was born!

This book, illustrated by Beth Aulton, share the biblically-faithful narrative of how Deborah led an army to defeat King Jabin, Israel’s oppressor, whilst Jael killed Sisera, Jabin’s army leader. It doesn’t sound a very suitable story for young children, yet the gory details are softened and the pictures and rhyming text keeps the story moving along.

Aimed at 4-8s.
