Charles Babbage and the Curious Computer
Among the best children’s books by a Christian publisher that we’ve seen, and an absolute must for any science-minded child!
That said, I can’t imagine ANY child not being gripped by the fabulous graphic illustrations and exciting story! I tested this first with my 9yo and 11yo, and then with the 6yo twins, and all four of them were totally absorbed.
The book tells of a class of Year 4 children going back in time with their Science teacher to meet Charles Babbage, hear about his designs for one of the first computers, and how his faith in God influenced his work. It’s a simple concept, but an engaging one for children and parents alike!
