A Jesus Easter: Explore God's Amazing Rescue Plan
Let’s get the criticism out of the way first: they are wordy. With lots of words and questions, each of the 30 readings would take at least 20 minutes to complete to any degree of value, so they’re really for kids who have a good attention span and/or a real thirst to study the Bible. It would be nice if the Bible passages were included in full.
But, having aired my grievances, there’s also a lot to commend ‘A Jesus Easter’: if your child is wanting ‘real’ Bible study, this book delivers. It gets children thinking about the passage in real depth, as well as how to apply it to their lives. It offers enough commentary to help kids (and grown-ups) really understand the passage, whilst also enough questions to encourage personal response.
Plus, if you have multiple children, The Good Book Company has thoughtfully provided extra journalling pages via PDF downloads on their sales page for ‘A Jesus Easter’.
‘A Jesus Easter’ is definitely a good option if you’re prepared to take it slow and not pressure yourselves to complete it by Easter.
